Hong Kong Young Women's Christian Association (HKYWCA) held the "Say YES to Work"
("Sharing session on supporting youth with special employment needs cum press conference on the evaluation study of
'The Youth Employment and Training Programme'") on 18 January 2023.
HKYWCA committed commissioned the Centre for the Advancement of Social Sciences Research (CASR) of Hong Kong Baptist University to evaluate "The Youth Employment and Training Programme" (The Programme) between 2021 and 2022. In the evaluation study, focus groups were conducted to interview various stakeholders in The Programme including the trainees and HKYWCA personnels (mentors, case manager and employers in the training process). There were two phases in the study. In the first phase, focus groups were conducted during the commencement of The Programme. The second phase of focus group interviews were conducted after the trainees completed The Programme. The evaluation study aimed to understand how The Programme helped the youth with special employment difficulties, summarize the experiences and explore areas for improvement.
