Survey on workplace satisfaction, discontent and perception of local employees (March 25, 2015)

Centre for the Advancement of Social Sciences Research was commissioned by the Vital Employee Service Consultancy of the Christian Family Service Centre (CFSC) to conduct a telephone survey regarding the workplace satisfaction, discontent and perception of local employees. The telephone survey of 801 local employees aged 15 or above was conducted between October and November 2014. Interviewees were given 15 choices of hated things at work and asked to rate them in order of hate with unscrupulous business practices topping the list followed by the need to report to superiors when answering calls of nature, and being monitor by CCTV in workplaces. Most of the respondents stated that attractive remuneration package, having a meaningful job and sense of achievement are the important factors of employee satisfaction. For the perception of workplace and career, most of the interviewers have the positive view on the industry of healthcare, disciplinary force and judiciary.
