Survey on Confidence in Marriage of HK people (November 10, 2013)

Centre for the Advancement of Social Sciences Research was commissioned by Inspirational Leadership International Ltd to conduct a survey on Confidence in Marriage of HK people in October 2013. 506 respondents aged 18 or above were successfully interviewed. The purpose of the survey is to understand the perception of Hong Kong people towards marriage nowadays. The results showed that the attitude towards marriage is positive. More than 90% of the people agreed that marriage should be a man and a woman well as a husband a wife and the combination is a lifelong commitment. At the same time, most people who are single (84%) indicated that they will marry if they find suitable partner. The survey also explores the level of confidence in marriage and the average mark of martial confidence index for all respondents is 8.3 out of 10. The average marks for single respondents is 6.9 and married respondents is 8.9.
